Owl is inspired by the invisible (to me so far) yet so recognizable hoot of the owls that live in Mystic Vale, adding to that oasis of raw nature’s mystery and charm. – Bruce Edmundson
An Opening View
Mixed media on canvas 48 x 72

Large Shard Vessel
Glass 9 x 7 x 5
With this new series of blown vessels I am working with more transparent translucent colours, shards, glass threads and thread drawing. The resulting pieces have a history/story built into the surface, which encompass the optic qualities of glass and light. The story is abstract, but engaging, and flows around the form. There is a weightlessness a suspended motion caught within the depth of the surface. – Susan Rankin
Small Shard Vessel
Glass 7 x 6 x 3.5
Oil on canvas 36 x 24
Through quick, instinctive gestures Shinah Lee imbues colour in her fresh, elegant paintings that highlight her feelings about love and life.

My sculptures are playful and quirky and often place the subjects in unlikely situations. Birds are riding when they can fly; polar bears sailing when they can swim. Many of my characters act against their usual instincts; sweet lions and fierce rabbits. All are meant to have us pause and consider all we have in common with our fellow creatures. – Carolyn Houg
Mosaic Pendant (Domed)
Dichroic Glass, Sterling Silver 18″ chain, 1.5″ pendant length
Working in glass for over 20 years, Peggy draws inspiration from her love of nature, as shown in the line patterns and interplay of shapes in her new Mosaic Series.
Mosaic Earrings (X-Large)
Dichroic Glass, Sterling Silver 2.25″ drop

I recently walked into The Avenue Gallery and was met with courteous, discreet, knowledgeable and helpful staff. I was able to browse without interruption, but information and assistance was instantly available without having to ask. The art is really very wonderfully curated, and the quality of paintings, bronzes, glass, ceramic, and jewelry are top-notch. I did purchase a stunning work in glass and asked that it be shipped, which posed no problem at all. The work arrived today (intact!) and the packaging to ensure its safe transit was most remarkable. Anyone looking for a lovely art experience would be well served by visiting The Avenue Gallery.
