I am always amazed at the variety of moods that can be expressed in a work of art, after visiting Vancouver Island. I hope that the viewer of these new paintings feels what I did while exploring various locations. The thrill of standing so close to the crashing surf on Chesterman Beach, the tranquility experienced on an overcast day on the Wild Pacific Trail, and the simple joy of exploring the tide pools when the tide is out at Rathtrevor Beach. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Heidi was a practicing artist for ten years during which she taught, exhibited, and curated in the U.S.A., Canada, EU and Japan. Heidi went on to establish a successful career in commercial post-production. Inspired by years of travel, Heidi returned to personal creative practice and founded Air & Earth Design in 2017.
