We are delighted to welcome glazier Guy Hollington and his stunning glass sculptures!
Studying at both the Corning Museum of Glass and the Pilchuk School of Glass provided Guy with insight into the intricacies of glass blowing. He enjoys both the rapid action in the hot-shop during the blowing process as well as the creative and detailed patterning and sandblasting required to create his finished pieces.
Feast your eyes on new paintings, jewellery, sculpture and glass… abundance abounds!

INTRODUCING – GUY HOLLINGTON
Blue Moon
Glass 18.5 x 9.5 x 3.5
$1800
As Earth’s partner the Moon is a constant. But it also constantly changes through its lunar phases: Best viewed at night, sometimes obscured by clouds or hills, often found in poems and literature. This piece, set in cobalt blue, endeavors to hold the moon through its phases against a landscape backdrop. Stars provide additional background depth. – Guy Hollington
Radiance
Glass 15.5 x 10.5 x 3.5
$1500
This piece is about brilliance, sunshine, radiance and happiness. The joy of waking up to a sunny day, full of promise… – Guy Hollington

BRUCE EDMUNDSON
Crescent
Live Edge Salt Spring Island Big Leaf Maple Burl, BC granite base 28 x 21 x 6
$1300
I have learned that to experiment and take risks is to court success. I want to express the natural splendour of the wood while enhancing it with the human touch. I want it to be unique, the hand of one person enabling nature’s inherent strengths and beauty. I try to do that by testing both the limits of my skills and the assets of the nature I am working on. – Bruce Edmundson

DOROTHÉE ROSEN
Dragonfly Double Wing Necklace
Sterling Silver, available in 22″ or 30″ chain length
$185
In Japan, Dragonflies are symbols of courage, strength, and happiness. Often used in art nouveau, this motif is irresistibly elegant. Made in matching bookend copies of each other, these two pendants overlap just enough to give good dimension. They are perfect for fiddling with, especially when you need that extra bit of courage. – Dorothée Rosen
Onefooter Necklace
Sterling Silver, 16″ chain length
$200
The necklace in the Onefooter series, like its companion Onefooter ring, is made from a one-foot-long piece of smaller gauge sterling silver wire. Because each ‘bead’ or ‘nest’ is made from individually forged wire, which is then wound by hand into a continuous loop, each necklace is totally unique. Each pendant is individually forged and wound by hand. It is attached to the chain in a way that lets it move along the chain freely, but will prevent it from slipping off and disappearing below your dresser. – Dorothée Rosen

We have always enjoyed all of our dealings with The Avenue Gallery. Over the past 14 years we have purchased numerous pieces of art that decorate our home from The Avenue Gallery. Heather and her team are always great to deal with and seem to really enjoy and appreciate all of the beautiful items they have for sale in their Gallery. If you love art, local artists and beautiful creations like ourselves, going into The Avenue Gallery is always something we look forward to. We find the surroundings with all their wares inviting and breathtaking. Heather and her team always seem to know the artist and the art on a personal level, and have a lot of knowledge and contacts in this field.
