Description
From One Island To Another by Maria Josenhans
“As I painted this scene on location, I watched a few kayaks and boats float by. I thought about how if I were in one of them, how lovely it would be to land on the shores of the island across the way. I thought about how it might be quite different than the rocky shore I was standing on – not better, just different. I really loved the bit of rock I was on, its strong angles remaining despite the repetition of daily tides. And as the sun moved in and out, there was more and more to admire.” – Maria Josenhans
