Spring Fling by Tanya Bone
I began this painting a couple of years ago. The ornamental bird was positioned as the focal point, but the composition wasn’t holding my interest, so I set the painting aside. I was inspired to put the finishing touches on it once the Spring pansies appeared at our local nursery this year. I created a secondary focal point by adding the light yellow pansy resting on the table top. This leads the viewer’s observation in, through and around the painting, providing areas for the eyes to rest while allowing time to digest the complete scene. The painting was completed in March, 2018. – Tanya Bone
