“This piece was inspired by the burl it arose from, an old, fallen piece of a dead tree I discovered rooting around in the bushes with my dog. I was reading Egyptology at the time and this looked to me like something from a tomb. Hence, it is a ‘Relic.'” – Bruce Edmundson
