Description
“Located just around the corner from my home is a small coastal park in West Vancouver. It is one of those gems that is not widely known, apart from the locals, and one of my favorite places to paint and take photos. Klootchman Park is accessed by a very steep staircase, and once down it, you are quickly surrounded by towering cedars and moss laden rocks. A short walk through this trail takes you to the bluffs, where this solitary Arbutus stands. This tree is such an iconic representation of the west coast, its simplicity showcased by the granite rocks and pounding ocean, it is so peaceful and one of my favorite places to be.” – Mary-Jean Butler
