Thinking about stories and connections between works in a series reminded  me that the common thread in most of my art work, ceramic and previously in wood, was the repetition and reconfiguration of a single unit to create sometimes complex structures.

The large octagon jars made from 8 eye shaped sections, the puffy jars made from 6 squared bowls, even some of the new 30 and 20 sided objects fashioned from rhomboids and triangles repeated and joined to make spherical objects connect to this theme.

Maybe this is something like empathy, being able to see situations, things and people, all similar, and connected, from multiple sides simultaneously?
