Tanya F. Bone grew up on the Canadian prairies and spent much of her childhood on her grandparents’ farm in Saskatchewan. Later, living in Vancouver, British Columbia, she methodically pursued her art training while contemporaneously raising a family, and working as a paralegal and Crown Prosecutor assistant.

Bone completed art studies at Emily Carr College of Art and Design, Langara College, and the Federation of Canadian Artists in Vancouver, where during her training she received Great Distinction Status recognition. Later, she completed a full term at Watts Atelier of the Arts, San Diego, CA.

While committed to the process of learning, she’s developed a clear focus and has become recognized for her traditional style of realistic images touching upon timeless and universal themes. Her work has appeared in such publications as American Art Collector and Art Avenue. During her inaugural membership year Bone had work accepted in both Oil Painters of America 2012 National, and 2012 Western Regional Juried Exhibitions. Bone holds Senior Signature status membership with the Federation of Canadian Artists and America’s Northwest Watercolor Society as well as Associate Membership with Oil Painters of America.

Bone has exhibited her art in galleries in Canada, the United States; in private collections throughout North America; and in collections in England, France, Germany and Australia. She now instructs Still Life Oil Painting workshops.
