“On the morning after a celebration with friends, these two remaining dessert strawberries sat as if basking in the afterglow of a merry and successful dinner party. As I began this piece, the initial challenge was to capture the reflected light from the bone china plate illuminating in the shadows of the strawberries. As I finished it, translating the memory of a joyful life experience with paint onto canvas proved much more fun than just painting reflected light in form shadows”. – Tanya Bone
