INTRODUCING – MASOOD OMER
Acrylic on canvas 36 x 28
Masood has had a lifelong passion for art. He underwent formal art training in his home of Karachi, Pakistan and came to Canada in 1999. He continued his artistic journey in his beloved, adopted land of Canada, obtaining a diploma in Fine Art at Central Technical School in Toronto.
Acrylic on canvas 30 x 40
Masood loves to live the life of a painter and, despite the vicissitudes of life, he has faithfully pursued his passion for painting. He aspires to keep the fire in his heart going and learn and translate his journey ahead, with the start of every new day.
Acrylic on canvas 28 x 20
Painting is my first and last love. I love colours, shapes, design and paint. When my work engages the observer, taking them on a journey through the elements of my painting, travelling through the scene – this is what I deem a success.
– Masood Omer

When All Is Quiet
Acrylic on canvas 36 x 48
My work is always changing, which gives me the pleasure to experiment and to move forward. I work and re-work my paintings until I reach the point when I feel that they express just the right amount of layering, structure and depth. The final colour constellations invite the viewer to find their own personal experience of my pieces. I believe that that’s what art should do. – Marianne Meyer

Aspen Grove Necklace
Aspen twigs cast in Sterling Silver (oxidized), 18kt. Yellow Gold, Smokey Quartz
Persephone, the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, once was an innocent maiden. She descended to the underworld and emerged a complex creature with the power to bring the earth the fruits of the hidden. The Aspen was sacred to her, and she was reputed to have a grove of them in the Land of Sunset in the West. Persephone reminds us to release our old habits or self criticism and guilt, and to face our fears so that we may believe in our own abilities and know our true self.
