In our modern world, a great many of us experience a daily bombardment of noise, imagery and over-stimulation. I strive to create art that invites the viewer to contemplate, breathe and feel at peace. – Richard Menard
In the Still
Acrylic on canvas 43 x 57.5
I am drawn to the abundant variations found in nature – wild, fragile and majestic beauty… Tree, water and earth, my aim is to discover a new way to view a very old subject. I have an insatiable hunger to create – no sooner than I start with one idea when my mind meanders somewhere else. I sculpt, scrape and splatter paint in search of new colour harmonies and mark making. Textural layers reveal aspects of the original source. – Niina Chebry
Acrylic on canvas 48 x 31
OneFooter Ring with Garnet
Sterling Silver, 6mm Hand-Cut Pyrope Garnet, 18kt. Yellow Gold Bezel size 6.75
My passion is setting rings in the Onefooter series with coloured stones. Because I treasure the stones the earth blesses us with, and out of respect for the stone cutters who use their expertise to bring out the stone’s beauty, I set them in 18kt. gold. – Dorothée Rosen
18kt. Yellow Gold
Dorothée’s inspiration often begins in nature, where many lines are found. Like vines before they begin to sprout after the winter, or budding leaves against the sky in spring.
