White Crawl Bowl #144
Ceramic 16 x 4
After visiting the deserts of Mexico last year, I drew inspiration from the cracked patterns of the dried riverbeds. Upon returning home, I was motivated to do some testing in my workshop. I have always been interested in the more primitive, natural, less glossy aspect of what potters call the ‘crawling glaze’, as it shrinks and crawls across the clay. – Bill Boyd

Gold-Filled Chain Necklace
The design and fabrication of jewellery is truly magical for me… especially when the pieces so often make the wearer feel so very special. – Doreen Schneider
Ceramic 4.5 x 17.5
Derek was first introduced to ceramics at the University of Regina in the early 1970s. Throughout his creative life, he has been fascinated with texture and shadow, and the interplay of light over surfaces that at first hide, and then reveal, meaning.
