La Linea Neckpiece by Linda Freedman-Katz
Texture is an element that defines my jewelry. It may be organic in nature, inspired by seashells, rocks or tree bark. Often I create my own unique texture sheets, using, for example, crumpled paper, macaroni, or grains. These impressions become an integral part of my designs in bronze and silver. In La Linea Neckpiece, stacked matchsticks created the bronze impression, giving my focal piece a random linear texture. It is set off by an Argentium Sterling Silver chain, each link hammered by hand and accented by fired bronze rings.
