My passion for all that is art started in my childhood in Europe – spending hours in museums, galleries and the art section of libraries. While some was not to my taste, it all fascinated me. It wasn’t until my mid 30s when my soul mate, Robert, gave me a set of watercolour pencils for my birthday, did I entertain moving from being a connoisseur to a creator. Initially, my works consisted of watercolour pencil renderings of botanicals and over the years expanded to include birds, insecta and sea life.

In 2009, after 35 years, I retired from a fabulously rewarding senior management career in the BC health sector. With the luxury of time on my hands, I wanted to expand into other art mediums. My love of sculpture and the bling, led me to pursue training in the fundamentals of silversmithing and gemology.

My jewelry is inspired by nature. Working with semi-precious metals, my designs transform them into one-of-a-kind sculptural necklaces, earrings, and rings. Each creation uses hand forged, fused, cast or reticulated elements, becoming a unique handmade piece of wearable art.
