The human form is one of the most interesting and rewarding subjects an artist can paint, and also the most challenging. It offers the opportunity not found in any other subject to enter into the drama of the human condition and play with the abundance of feelings through expression.

RENATO MUCCILLO - EDGE OF EXISTENCE

Explore the “Edge of Existence” masterfully captured in this new collection of paintings by Renato Muccillo. The artist is inspired by expansive open skies and majestic sweeping cloud formations that contrast with the solidity of the marshes and fields and near his home.

 

Years of artistic exploration have allowed flexibility of style and allowed Renato Muccillo to master several techniques. Very few painters achieve artistic success with painting styles as diverse as high realism, impressionism and abstractionism. Yet Renato Muccillo's masterful use of monochromatic palettes and diffuse light that filters through his uncomplicated landscapes - causing them to fade in and out of focus while capturing the essence of the images - create a surreal atmosphere and near-hypnotic effect.

 

 

3 Dimensional Group Show

November 14th - 27th 

Sculptural works, glass forms, and carved objects will be featured in

The Avenue Gallery's first three dimensional group show.  Join us for a tactile experience that highlights the work of several local and Canadian artists.

Celebrating Small VI

December 4th - 20th 

Our annual winter event features over two hundred small works created by all our artists.  A wonderful opportunity to start a collection, or to add a few gems to your wall.
